All our surface treatments – a complete range of solutions – are controlled in order to guarantee constant quality: visual control, wear test, thickness certification by x-ray, color control by spectrophotometry and metallographic section by SEM. Depending on the specific requirements of the customers, performance tests such as resistance to humid heat, sulfur dioxide, synthetic sweat and many others are also carried out.
Thanks to the very wide range of precious and non-precious galvanic finishes, static and barrel finish, glossy, matt or aged, up to the most modern PVD finishes and the most particular paintings, we can provide one of the widest choices of finishes in the sector.
We choose surface treatments in such a way as to favor ecological processes and materials: we completely recycle washing water and eliminate risks for people by automating processes. All because we want the surface to represent the substance of our products and our vision.
PREPARATION
In order to achieve a perfect finish, preparation is a key step. Starting from vintage effects to mirror finishes, AMF is structured to carry out aging, vibro-polishing and cleaning cycles in order to provide the customer with exactly the desired effect.
AUTOMATED ELECTROPLATING: SUSTAINABLE QUALITY
Electroplating is the place where chemistry and art merge. With AMF's innovative Bluecoating electroplating, the sustainability factor comes into play decisively, together with the safety of people. We have eliminated the risks for operators, automating the galvanic process at every stage. We move our accessories by monitoring times to the second, we automatically check the thicknesses of all the pieces of the same batch, we recycle all wastewater, completely eliminating the environmental risk. In this way, we guarantee an exceptional product through a responsible process.
In addition to the guarantee of a quality and sustainable product, our customers can choose from one of the widest ranges of finishes on the market, ranging from standard finishes such as white and smoked bronze to precious finishes such as gold, palladium, ruthenium and many others. Our finishes can be obtained with both frame applications and with barrels of different sizes, to meet the needs of different customers in terms of minimum production. We also specialize in creating special and exclusive finishes, through vintage/aged effects, mirror finishes or special color finishes. Color, after all, can be the hallmark of a brand.
INCREASE YOUR CHANCES WITH PVD
For special applications or particular metallic colors, PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) can be the ideal solution. AMF uses both arc technology and magnetron sputtering to give its customers maximum flexibility in the choice of materials.
Arc PVD, particularly suitable for coating steel items but also applicable to substrates such as zamak and brass, allows to obtain unparalleled resistance to wear. This technology is therefore applied more on highly stressed components such as feet and carabiners for leather goods.
Sputtering PVD, on the other hand, is suitable for all materials that are difficult to treat by galvanic: suitable for coating many materials, including natural materials or plastics, this technology is used to obtain particular effects – for example, on accessories where lightness is a fundamental criterion.
PVD further expands the range of finishes offered by AMF: with this technology it is possible to obtain unique metallic colors such as mixcolor/iridescent, metallic blue and absolute black.
IN PAINTING, EVERY SHADE IS POSSIBLE
We create glossy, matt, semi-matt or rubberized paintings, sample colored or simply protective. Our products are treated both by spray and immersion or by cataphoresis, to obtain exactly the finish required by the customer, all naturally in compliance with the most stringent chemical and physical specifications.
