In today’s complex society, work-life balance is still challenging, especially for women. That’s why AMF has decided to look ahead and create a school for its employees and the community within which the company was established and works. Nautilus Montessori School is an authentic bilingual (Italian-English) Montessori school for children aged 0 to 6 that meets the needs of today’s children and families. The first school opened in September 2024 in Bassano del Grappa, near Vicenza, Italy, close to AMF’s headquarters.

THE CURRICULUM: NURSERY, INFANT COMMUNITY, CHILDREN’S HOUSE
Nautilus’s curriculum is for children aged from 3 months to 6 years and is divided into Nursery, Infant Community, and Children’s House. This is the “Teach me how to do it on my own” period, when a child goes from being a spiritual embryo to an absorbent mind to later become a conscious worker ready to move on to the next plane of development. From a holistic point of view, the Montessori method is built around the characteristics of each stage in life, considering all physical, emotional, and intellectual aspects.

“It is beauty in all its forms that helps the inner self grow” Maria Montessori’s words – which resonate with AMF’s vision – have inspired Nautilus to create safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that accompany and stimulate children in such a critical stage (0-6 years) for developing independence.
The architectural project by CC91 – the design studio founded by Giovanni Fumagalli with a solid background in creating Montessori schools – and the collaboration with companies aligned with our values and mission have allowed us to create indoor and outdoor spaces where every detail counts and where children can discover their talents.
